Best Answer: Hope this helps: 1. Push the fabric seat down thru the middle of the exersaucer as if it were properly in place. Make sure the white label sewn onto the seat is toward the INSIDE of the seat at the moment. The label should also be toward the back of the seat, which is where the baby's back would be.

The white sewn-on label has a red diamond on it, though mine was washed off. It should be toward a tiny triangle mark molded into the outside of the seat back. Fold the seat fabric over the red plastic seat back so the white sewn-on label is now on the outside of the seat rim. Do the same all around, so the fabric covers the red plastic seat rim sort of like a padded bumper.
Grab a thin implement like a butter knife. Put the point of the knife inside one of the elastic loops and push it between the seat ring and the rotating ring, from outside to inside. There is a thin slot here all around which you can see through. The loop should go through fairly easily, in a horizontal orientation. When you get a loop thru to the inside, grab it, pull it down under the rotating ring, then toward the outside of the ES, and finally around one of the little red prongs on the underside of the rotating ring (made for this purpose).
Back up top, grab the white plastic tab that's attached to the elastic loop you just fastened. Lever it down and into the slot between the seat ring and the rotating ring that you just pushed the loop through. This holds the fabric down low around the red plastic rings, where it belongs. Repeat all around. I have one similar to that and when I popped the seat out and took the cloth off to wash it, I just put the cloth back on and popped the seat back into place pushing one side down at a time.
It took a little bit of finagling but I managed. (It has rollers correct?) I got my second hand too and spent a good deal of time trying to figure out how to get the seat out to wash the cover. Took me a bit of flipping it over and looking at the rollers and sometimes even seeing if the plastic pieces fit together by linking into one another. Also, is there an imprint of the maker of the seat you can find on the excersaucer?
Sometimes you can get old user manuals to print out from the computer. I did that with my other baby things I got second hand.

Question: How do I put the seat pad on the Exersaucer? Answer: 1.Line up the red diamond on the seat pad warning label with the triangle on the back of the seat ring. 2.Fit the elastic loops through the quarter inch gap between the seat ring and rotating rings and hook the elastic loops over the prongs on the bottom of the rotating ring. 3.The plastic tabs on the seat pad are only for reinforcement and don't hook to anything, but should be threaded between the 2 plastic rings.
